FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral. You can simply contact us by phone or email to make an appointment.
How long will my child need speech for?

There is no concrete answer for this and it is highly dependent on the nature and severity of your child's difficulties. Research shows that more frequent therapy and good quality home practise between sessions, increases the rate of progress. It is also important to remember that speech therapy is not a 'quick fix' and that significant progress can take months or years.
Do you see adults?

No, we do not see adults. We are a paediatric practice.
Do you have a waitlist?

No, at the moment we are taking new referrals. Contact us to make an appointment.
Is my child too young to start speech?

Research shows that early intervention (2 and under) is the key! The earlier your child accesses support the better the long term outcomes.
How do mobile services work?

Sessions can be conducted at your child's school or preschool, with pre-approval from the facility. Having direct contact with your child's educators allows us to modify goals and monitor progress more effectively. You will also receive a digital copy of your child's progress after each session to ensure that your are actively involved. You are also encouraged to come and join sessions where possible.

-

-
