FUNDING

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

 

We are currently able to provide services to NDIS participants whose funding is 'self-managed' or 'plan/third party managed'. Speak to your NDIS plan manager for options regarding how your funds are managed. 

Medicare

Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP)

Your GP may be able to provide you with a Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly Enhanced Primary Care Plan). This entitles you to a rebate from Medicare for 5 sessions per calendar year. This rebate covers part of the session fee and a gap is payable. Individuals of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent may be eligible for an additional 5 sessions per calendar year. Speak with your GP who will assess your child's eligbility for this plan. 

Helping Children with Autism (HCWA)

The Autism Initiative (Helping Children with Autism) is a funding scheme that has been allocated by the federal government for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) to access early intervention services. Eligible services include Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Pathologists.

 

Eligible children are entitled to a maximum of 4 sessions of funding for Allied Health assessments and 20 sessions for Allied Health intervention (therapy). These rebated sessions are available once in a lifetime and once claimed cannot be used again. Speak with your child's peadiatrician or psychiatrist  to determine eligibility for this plan. 

 

Private Health

If your Private health cover has 'extras’ you may eligible for a rebate from your provider. This amount varies depending on your coverage and caps. For sessions provided in the office. you can submit your receipt to your health fund to claim the rebate directly from them. Speak to your private health fund provider to determine if you are eligible for this rebate.
